It was 1965 when Arne Jacobsen made history with the Oxford™ chair. With its high back and having been originally designed for the professors at St. Catherine’s College in Oxford, England, the chair became synonymous with prestige and status. Today the chair is a classic in the Fritz Hansen collection.
The shell is made of laminated molded sliced veneer. It comes fully upholstered and is available with a low, medium or high back with armrests. the base is made of satin polished aluminum and is available with tilt, adjustable height and wheels for either hard or soft floors.
