Room For Imagination

Based in Fritz Hansen's shop in inner Copenhagen, five spatial experiences are presented under the heading Rooms For Imagination. Each experience contains a well-known element shown in new and inspiring surroundings, be it an extravagant dinner party, a library cave or a bar where we invite you to stay and enjoy the moment.

A preview of the fall news includes a shelving series by American designer Paul McCobb and a new lounge chair JH97 by Jaime Hayon. These set the stage in the company of a new accessory collection, a new version of the well-known Suspence lamp and a new table lamp launch, also by Paul McCobb.

An exclusive preview of The Clam

The young Danish design duo Ahm & Lund are the creators behind Fritz Hansen´s coming light introduction, the Clam. The Clam is a contemporary pendant inspired by natural shells, hiding the pearl inside: the light. Through models and sketches we offer an exclusive insight into the ongoing design process.

Kasper Kjeldgaard x Centres of Rotation

Following on from Rooms For Imagination, artist Kasper Kjeldgaard presents his latest work, Centres of Rotation, created in collaboration with Fritz Hansen for Wallpaper Handmade and presented at Milan Design Week 2019. Centres of Rotation is exhibited in collaboration with selected works from Kjeldgaard's latest exhibition, The Inspired Design Object, which examines how objects can move us closer to an understanding of the nature around us. The fundamental premise of our world's cohesion - such as gravity, rotation and friction - remains in Kjeldgaard' s objects for a poetic consideration of what design is and where the distinction between the abstract and the functional goes.
